I met Jay Gutierrez of Nighthawk Minerals in 2006. He came to my office and asked if I had ever heard of “Radiation Hormesis”. My reply was that the best radiation was no radiation. He told me I had a lot to learn about the health benefits and safety of radiation hormesis.
If you don’t know Jay you can’t appreciate how sincere he is in his mission to help people heal. I was struck by this sincerity from our first meeting. He also has to know exactly how things work and he doesn’t just start with what others have said. He digs out the raw research from scratch.
Since healing my partially torn rotator cuff and Dupuytren’s contracture of the hands using his low dose radiation stones, we have collaborated together on many of his clients. One thing that Jay and I have noticed is that his stones do bring his clients to a point where their energy and immune system are up. That has been the easy part. But it has been increasingly obvious that the rest of the journey to restored health is being inhibited by something. What was that something?
The breakthrough came about a year ago when a visiting doctor from Nigeria mentioned the destructive power of parasites. They damage tissue and feed off the host. Mulling this over, Jay and I came to the realization that tissue damage sets the stage for inflammation, the medium that grows chronic degenerative conditions like cancers, arthritis, dementias and many other devastating health problems. The inflammation and tissue destruction then lead to the infestation of yeast that feed and grow off of the dead and dying tissues. The yeast excrete mycotoxins, poisonous chemicals that create more inflammation and harm the immune system response.
Jay started sending client stool samples to the doctor in Nigeria for an analysis of parasites and natural remedies to annihilate them. The cost for this was over a thousand dollars, out of reach of some clients. But the original premise that something was impeding the rest of the healing was uncovered, and clients were again moving toward restored health.
I am a holistic medical doctor in practice for over thirty-five years and I certainly embrace natural healing wherever possible. I found it difficult to believe that Jay would have to send specimens out of country and have clients pay exorbitant amounts for a natural approach. So I got to thinking about how I could help.
Upon graduation from high school in 1964, I joined the U.S. Air Force and was trained as a medical technologist. My first duty assignment after training was at the large USAF Hospital at Cham Rahn Bay, Viet Nam where I ran the microbiology unit and performed all the parisitology tests. We saw parasites, fungi, yeast and bacteria that to this day many medical personnel only read about. Since that time I have continued to direct medical laboratories for the doctor offices I practiced in.
So I approached Jay earlier this year with a proposal. Since I am cutting back on my one-on-one style of patient care, I will be willing to set up a parasitology research lab and provide a better service at less cost. Jay was ecstatic.
That is how ParaWellness Research has come to be. It is a private membership research organization. Clients become Research Associates by signing a statement that protects their constitutional right to direct their own health care and contract with me to perform the parasite analysis and provide the results along with a personally tailored restorative health program. Where the out-of country program was costing thousands, I can provide this for $297 for the analysis and around $300 or less for the natural remedies.

Having recently returning from East Central Africa, I read this news with great interest. I was diagnosed in early February with dysentery, went the AMA route of mega doses of antibiotics, and probably do not have to say anymore than that. Here it is mid-April and I am still carrying dysentery. I contacted an Amish healer in Indiana and have my natural remedies being sent to me now. How do you determine when a parasite test is needed?
We have found that 2 things are strong indications of a parasite. Has your illness spread rapidly? Have you experienced your illness or disease for 6 months or more without any improvement from therapies or treatments? If you can say yes to either of these there is a good chance you have a parasite.
